The Department of Computer Science Engineering and IT at Rayat-Bahra Institute of Engineering and Nano Technology organized a cyber security awareness campaign in Boothgarh village. The campaign was conducted under the guidance of Director-Principal Dr. Gurjit Singh and Head of Department Prof. Simarpreet Singh.
The main objective of this initiative was to educate villagers about the dangers of OTP (One-Time Password) scams and promote safe digital practices. Around 100 B.Tech CSE students participated in the campaign.
During the awareness session, students explained ways to protect against cyber fraud. The village panchayat members and local residents attentively listened to the presentations and asked questions related to cyber security.
Prof. Chetna Saini and Prof. Ankush Hans played a key role in the success of this campaign. At the end of the session, students conducted a rally in the village to spread awareness about cyber security. Villagers appreciated the initiative and praised the efforts of the students and the institute.
