Punjab Education Revolution: AAP & Rayat Bahra University Join Hands on Teachers’ Day; Manish Sisodia Calls for World-Class Education System*

Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur, in joint collaboration with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), marked Teachers’ Day with a state-level educational convention held on campus. The event was presided over by Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra and Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Chander Mohan, with senior AAP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest, alongside Member of Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, local MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar, and the Deputy Commissioner of Hoshiarpur as special dignitaries.
Addressing the convention, Chief Guest Manish Sisodia emphasized that modernizing educational infrastructure and introducing advanced pedagogical frameworks across schools and universities are imperative steps toward securing the future of Punjab’s youth. He remarked that real societal transformation begins directly inside classrooms, adding that empowering educators with modern tools and upgrading basic learning spaces into world-class facilities will establish Punjab as a leading global hub of academic excellence.
Underlining the institution’s commitment to state progress, Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra highlighted the foundational role of educators in national development, stating that Rayat Bahra remains dedicated to bridging academic instruction with global competency and industry readiness while extending full institutional support to policy reforms that elevate Punjab's learning landscape. Complementing this vision, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Chander Mohan observed that higher education institutions must cultivate research, innovation, and critical thinking through adaptive learning systems that prepare students to meet evolving international challenges. The convention concluded with both Chancellor Bahra and VC Dr. Chander Mohan formally thanking the guests and dignitaries for their collective dedication to advancing quality education across the region.
