Competition on Hindi Noting and Drafting held at BBMB Talwara

The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), Talwara, organised a competition on “Hindi Noting and Drafting” for its employees as part of the ongoing Hindi Fortnight celebrations. The event was held under the directions of Chief Engineer Rakesh Gupta.

Officers and employees from various departments of the Beas Dam Project participated enthusiastically in the competition.

Addressing the participants, Rakesh Gupta said Hindi Fortnight was an important initiative to promote the use of Hindi as the official language in government work and to motivate employees to carry out their official duties in a simple, effective and organised manner in Hindi.

He said such competitions aimed at generating interest in Hindi among employees and encouraging its wider use in official work. He urged all employees to participate actively in the various activities being organised during the Hindi Fortnight.

Deputy Chief Engineer Vimal Kumar Meena inaugurated the competition and said the participants prepared noting and drafting in Hindi on the topics assigned to them. The event aimed at promoting the practical and effective use of Hindi in official correspondence and improving the linguistic proficiency of employees.

SDOs Gyan Inder and Tarandeep Singh, along with the staff, played an important role in organising the competition. The winners will be felicitated on the occasion of Republic Day.
