Third National Lok Adalat 2026 Scheduled on September 12

Following directions from the Member Secretary of the Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Hoshiarpur, will hold the third National Lok Adalat of 2026 at district and sub-division levels on September 12. The Lok Adalat will be convened under the competent leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman of the DLSA, Rajinder Aggarwal.
The National Lok Adalat will take up settlement of civil suits, rent matters, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) cases, compoundable criminal cases, revenue matters, cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, family disputes, labour disputes, bank-related matters (both pending and pre-litigation), telecom company disputes, electricity bills, water and sewerage bills (excluding non-compoundable matters), and other pre-litigation issues. Both court-pending and pre-litigation matters will be listed for settlement during the Lok Adalat.
Chairman Rajinder Aggarwal appealed to the public to resolve as many disputes as possible through the Lok Adalat. He said settling matters through this forum saves both time and money and that Lok Adalat awards are treated as civil decrees. He urged people to make full use of this alternative dispute resolution mechanism and amicably settle their disputes.
CJM-cum-Secretary of the DLSA, Neeraj Goyal, provided information on traffic challans pending in courts. He said those who wish to check whether their traffic challan will be listed in the National Lok Adalat on September 12 can visit ecourts.gov.in, select the relevant state and district, and then enter the party name and challan number to find out which court the challan is pending before and other related details.
The Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur, appealed to the public to participate in large numbers and avail themselves of the Lok Adalat facility to settle their disputes.
