A special programme to sensitise students about the importance of health, fitness and regular physical activity was organised at the Government Senior Secondary School for Girls, Railway Mandi, Hoshiarpur. Parmjeet Singh Sachdeva, president of the Fit Biker Club, addressed the students and shared details about the upcoming “Sachdeva Stocks Family Walk”, urging enthusiastic participation.
Speaking at the event, Sachdeva emphasised that staying healthy must be a priority amid today’s busy lifestyles. He encouraged daily walking, cycling, participation in sports and other physical activities, noting that these not only keep the body fit but also help reduce mental stress. He advised students to make fitness a part of everyday life rather than reserving it for special occasions.
Sachdeva said the objective of the “Sachdeva Stocks Family Walk” is to motivate families to adopt healthier lifestyles together. He said the youth are the nation’s future and early awareness about health among students will help build a stronger and healthier society. He also urged students to spend less time on mobile phones and screens and more time on outdoor games and activities.
School principal Rajan Arora lauded the initiative, saying physical health is as important as formal education for the holistic development of students. He encouraged pupils to adopt healthy habits and exercise regularly.
Staff members and students present at the event included Uttam Singh Sabi, Sagar Saini, Onkar Singh and Tarlochan Singh.
