Social worker Mohan Lal Mohni Ji, who has been actively working for the welfare of needy and underprivileged families for several decades, shared details of his social service initiatives during a special interaction with senior correspondent Daljit Singh Ajnoha.
During the interaction, Mohan Lal Mohni said that he has been continuously helping needy people since 1996. He said that supporting economically weaker families and helping people facing financial difficulties has remained one of the major objectives of his social service journey.
He informed that so far, his organisation has played an important role in arranging the marriages of 2,084 needy girls. The organisation conducts marriages of girls from financially weaker families free of cost and also provides essential household items according to the needs of the newly married families.
Mohan Lal Mohni further said that his organisation is not limited to supporting marriages. It also extends assistance to poor and needy children for their education. Financial support is provided to deserving children so that lack of resources does not force them to discontinue their studies.
He appealed to financially capable members of society to come forward and contribute towards the welfare of underprivileged families. He said that collective efforts can bring meaningful and positive changes in the lives of needy people and children.
During the special interaction, Mohan Lal Mohni shared his long journey of social service and said that serving the needy is not merely a social responsibility for him, but a commitment towards humanity.
