Human-made buildings can influence every aspect of life, including happiness and misfortune, because the nature of a house’s vastu (traditional architectural energy) forms the foundation of its occupants’ lives, said internationally renowned vastu scholar and author Dr. Bhupendra Vastushastri. According to him, vastu is not limited to directions or the five elements; internal and external defects also matter, among which “dwar vedh” (door perforation/opening) is a serious fault.
Dr. Bhupendra warned that if bamboo poles or tied bamboo arrangements are installed permanently in or near a house and not removed after construction, they can act as a cause of dwar vedh and slowly eat away at the household’s happiness. He said the problem becomes particularly harmful when it affects the Brahmasthan (central zone), the Uttar (north) direction, the Ishan corner (northeast), or the East.
Homes with such defects may experience repeated delays in routine matters, obstacles in auspicious or matrimonial events, family discord, strained relationships, stress, and health problems, he added. He further noted that if a house faces Vidisha (southeast?) or if the northwest and southeast zones are adversely affected, women in the household may become disproportionately dominant or may suffer from specific health issues.
Dr. Bhupendra advised immediate removal of unnecessarily tied bamboo poles and similar installations to neutralize the effects of dwar vedh and restore harmony.
