Chandeli Witnessing All-Round Development with ₹1.11 Crore ProjectsFoundation Stone of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Community Hall Laid by Sant Ramesh Dass Sherpur Dhakkon

"My focus is on strengthening basic infrastructure while creating better civic amenities for every section of society," said Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar during his recent visit to Village Chandeli.
He said that Chandeli is steadily emerging as another example of rural transformation in the Chabbewal constituency, with development works worth over ₹1.11 crore either completed or progressing at a rapid pace. On the occasion, the MLA got the foundation stone of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Community Hall laid by Sant Ramesh Dass Sherpur Dhakkon Ji. He informed that a grant of ₹5 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of the community hall, which will serve as an important community asset for the village.
Dr. Ishank Kumar informed that the 1.53-kilometre road connecting Mahilpur–Hoshiarpur Road to Chandeli has been completed at a cost of ₹50.13 lakh, fulfilling a long-pending demand of the villagers. He further stated that grants worth ₹17 lakh have been provided for the construction of streets and drains, significantly improving sanitation and easing movement within the village. A Dharamshala, constructed with a grant of ₹3 lakh, has also been completed for the benefit of the local community.
Keeping in view the long-standing demand of the youth, work on a modern playground, being developed at a cost of ₹35.74 lakh, is progressing rapidly. The MLA said the project will encourage sports and provide better recreational facilities to young people in the village.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ishank Kumar said, "Our vision is to ensure that every village has strong roads, better sanitation, quality public infrastructure and modern facilities for the youth. Development must reach every household, and we are committed to making every village of Chabbewal stronger, more connected and better equipped for the future."
Village Sarpanch Kamla Devi thanked Dr. Ishank Kumar for giving priority to Chandeli's development and appreciated the infrastructure projects undertaken in the village. Members of the Panchayat especially welcomed the development of the playground, stating that it would provide an excellent platform for local youth to nurture their sporting talent. The villagers also expressed confidence that the ongoing works would further improve the quality of life in Chandeli.
Among those present on the occasion were Panch Barkha Pawar, Panch Jaswinder Singh, Panch Bagicha Singh, Panch Ram Lubhaya, Jeevan Kumar, Amarjeet Kaur, Surinder Singh Gohgron, Bhajan Singh, Harbans Singh, Manpreet Singh, Rajesh Kumar and several other prominent residents.
