• Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini targets Punjab Government at Phagwara event, pays tribute to Kargil heroes

The unveiling ceremony of the ventilator-equipped ambulance and the mega blood donation camp organised by ‘Navya Helping Hands’ at Maharaja Palace, Banga Road, Phagwara, became an inspiring blend of service, compassion and public welfare. On this occasion, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Nayab Singh Saini, attended as the Chief Guest and dedicated the ventilator-equipped ambulance to public service, while also encouraging the blood donors.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini targeted the Punjab Government and said that the trust of the people had been betrayed and that the government had failed on every front. Referring to the recent controversies and irregularities linked to recruitment examinations, he said that the confidence of young people had been shaken. He also raised questions over the alleged irregularities in the pharmacy paper leak and the excise department recruitment examination.

In his address, the Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government is consistently working for the welfare of youth, farmers, women and economically weaker sections. He said that the state is ensuring transparent recruitment, procurement of crops at MSP, direct assistance to women’s accounts, and the delivery of benefits through public welfare schemes.

On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice while defending the nation. He urged the youth to follow the ideals of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and dedicate themselves to nation-building and social service. Describing Punjab as the sacred land of the Gurus and saints, he said that its people are known for service, hard work and dedication.

The blood donation camp was organised under the leadership of Shri Vijay Sampla, Chairman of ‘Navya Helping Hands’, former Union Minister, former MP from Hoshiarpur and former Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, along with Shri Ashu Sampla, President of the Foundation. Welcoming the Chief Minister, Shri Vijay Sampla said that the Foundation was established in memory of his late granddaughter Navya, and the annual blood donation camp is organised in her memory. He said that this initiative is not merely an event, but a continuing commitment to human service.

The ventilator-equipped ambulance, dedicated by the Foundation for public service, was handed over to the public, and the gathering described it as a highly useful step for society. The Chief Minister praised the social commitment of the Sampla family and ‘Navya Helping Hands’, saying that such efforts bring new energy and compassion into society.

After the programme, Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini paid obeisance at Vishwakarma Mandir and Gurdwara Sukhchain Sahib before departing from Phagwara.

Those present on the occasion included Rajya Sabha MP Shri Ashok Mittal, former Union Minister Shri Vijay Sampla, Sant Gurcharan Singh (Nirmal Kutiya Pandwa Wale), Shri Ashu Sampla, Shri Balbhadar Sain Duggal, Shri Tejasvi Bhardwaj, Shri Mahinder Thapar, Shri Sheetal Angural, Shri Manjit Bali, BJP Kapurthala District President Shri Ranjit Singh Khojewal, Punjabi actor Shri Hobby Dhaliwal, along with a large number of social workers and dignitaries.
