A special meeting was held under the “Tea Talk” series of the District Trade Body, chaired by president Gopi Chand Kapoor. The gathering was attended by chairman Chander Mohan Aggarwal, general secretary Rajesh Jain and Rakesh Bhardwaj, along with presidents of various city trade associations, including Vijayesh Chandra Gupta, J.S. Bindra, Jasdeep Singh Pahwa, Rajan Gupta (Mintu), Prem Sharma, Vinod Kapoor, Dinesh Gupta, councillor Ajay Verma, Yogesh Chander, Amandeep Singh Saggi, Harjap Singh, Sunil Kumar Ravi, Sushil Padiyal, Deepak Mahindrata, Mohan Lal Dhingra and Baljinder Singh.
Addressing the meeting, district president Gopi Chand Kapoor said more than two dozen traders’ associations are affiliated with the trade body, reflecting unity among the city’s business community. He also welcomed the presidents of newly joined associations. Kapoor stated that the Chamber of Commerce stands like a rock alongside the community. Traders’ problems were discussed during the session.
At the event, Ajay Verma, president of the Goldsmiths’ Association, was also felicitated after being recently elected as a councillor in the municipal elections. The meeting unanimously decided to organise a major trade conference soon with the cooperation of all affiliated associations of the trade body.
