On the second day of the Shrimad Bhagawat Mahapuran discourse being held in village Pipliwal on Tuesday, Katha Viyas Shree Jagmohan Dutt Ji recounted the episode of King Parikshit’s liberation and spoke about the significance of the Bhagavat Katha and the king’s birth. He said the Shrimad Bhagavat Mahapuran is not merely a religious text but divine wisdom that steers human life in the right direction. The Bhagavat Katha inspires people to follow the paths of dharma, truth, compassion and devotion. Those who listen to the Bhagawat Katha with faith and devotion find many of life’s afflictions easing naturally and experience an infusion of positive energy.
Listening to the Bhagawat Katha purifies one’s inner self and brings a sense of closeness to God. While narrating the birth story of King Parikshit, he explained that Parikshit was born after the Mahabharata war. To protect the foetus from the Brahmastra released by Ashwatthama, Lord Krishna himself entered the womb and saved the child. Hence the child was named Parikshit, as he had beheld God from birth. The story of King Parikshit teaches that God protects his devotees in every circumstance and never abandons the true devotee. After the discourse, the deity’s aarti was performed and prasad distributed. A community kitchen remained in operation during the discourse. Ravinder Bindu Bhumbla informed that a free medical camp will be held tomorrow, where specialists in various fields will examine patients and distribute free medicines.
Present on the occasion were former sarpanch Kamaljit Bittu, District Chairman of the Gujar Welfare Board Suresh alias Shashi Fauji, Ravinder Bindu Bhumbla, Pinka Bhumbla, lecturer Pawan Sharma, Naresh Kambala, Gaurav Kataria, Tilak Raj, Numberdar Jayram, Suresh Kumar and others.
