Save Shivalik Save Mother Earth Organization Celebrates World Environment Day

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the environmental organization "Save Shivalik Save Mother Earth" organized a special awareness program to promote environmental conservation, tree plantation, and the reduction of plastic pollution.
The program commenced with a tree plantation drive jointly carried out by the chief guest, Mahavir Singh, along with officials from the Forest Department and members of the organization. Special guest Anjan Singh from the Dasuya Forest Department shared detailed information about medicinal plants and explained how these plants can help protect people from various diseases and contribute to a healthier lifestyle.
Renowned educationist Prof. Sanjeev Sharma, who attended the event as a special guest, emphasized that protecting the environment is a collective responsibility. He stressed the need to plant and nurture more trees to make the Earth greener and healthier. He also appealed to the public to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings, reduce the use of plastic, and actively contribute to the conservation of natural resources.
During the event, participants pledged to remain committed to environmental protection and sustainability. The program was organized under the leadership of Pastor Sukhwinder Sukhi of Lord of Power Church, Randhawa. Addressing the gathering, he stated that if environmental conservation is neglected today, future generations will have to face serious challenges. Various speakers also shared their views and concerns regarding environmental protection.
The President of the organization, Gurkirpal Bodal, announced that during this year's Van Mahotsav, the organization, in collaboration with the Dasuya Forest Department, plans to plant ten thousand saplings.
Among those present on the occasion were Vice President Prof. Jasvir Singh, Media In-charge Praveen Mangat, Ranjit Singh, Jasvir Singh, Master Maninder Singh, Balwinder Kaur Langana, Advocate Navdeep Kaur Bajwa, Maninder Singh, Arsh, Amarveer Singh, Kamaljit Singh Bercha (Car AC), Iqbaljit Singh, Kapil Dev, and Daljit Kumar, Range Officer, along with a large number of social workers and environmental enthusiasts who participated in spreading the message of World Environment Day among the public.
