After the conclusion of a Sahaj Dhiyan yoga and Happiness camp held at Dechen Chokhor Monastery (Manistri), Kullu, participants from the Art of Living Happiness Centre, Hoshiarpur, under the able leadership of Madam Vandana, extended their trip to savour the natural splendour of Sisoo and Jispa in Lahaul-Spiti district.
Departing from Kullu, the group reached Sisoo point, located about 40 km from Manali via the Atal Tunnel route. In the crisp mountain air they enjoyed the lake and waterfall, went trekking, camping and zip-lining, rode ATVs, and took guided nature walks. The Chandra River, which flows near Sisoo and later becomes the Jhanavi, provided freezing-cold waters where participants paused to enjoy and photograph the scenery.
From Sisoo, the travellers proceeded roughly 60 km to Jispa — a village on the Manali highway beside the Bhaga River in Lahaul-Spiti. Organisers had pre-booked accommodation for the group. After check-in and a brief rest, participants gathered for dinner and a bonfire, sharing songs and performances that added warmth to the chilly night.
Situated at an altitude of about 10,000 feet above sea level, Jispa offered the group spectacular snow-clad mountain views along the Bhaga River the following morning. Many members captured the landscape in photographs and took a morning walk to experience mental and physical calm.
Those who took part in the trip included Raghavi, Bhavya, Adisha, Kuldeep, Paramjeet, Dr. Sweta, Madhu ji, Ajay ji, Kashish, Dr. Kavita and others.
