Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/May 1
District Magistrate Ashika Jain has stated that on May 3 (Sunday), within a 100-metre radius of various exam centres set up across the district for the NEET examination, there will be a ban on the gathering of five or more persons.
According to the orders issued by the District Magistrate, the exam will be held at Army Public School Uchi Basi, Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Railway Mandi Hoshiarpur, Government Senior Secondary School, Bagpur Sator, and PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Gaj Bhunga. In her orders, she has imposed a restriction on the gathering of five or more persons within a 100-metre radius of these exam centres. She explained that relatives of examinees and other individuals often congregate around exam centres, which could lead to untoward incidents and compromise the sanctity of the examinations. Therefore, it is essential to invoke Section 163 of the BNSS within a 100-metre radius of the exam centres to ensure the exams are conducted peacefully and smoothly. These orders will remain in effect on May 3, 2026.
