Bhakra Beas Management Board Observes International Labour Day at Pong Dam

— The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) today observed International Labour Day at Pong Dam with great enthusiasm and respect. The event was organized under the directions of Chief Engineer Rakesh Gupta, with Superintending Engineer Manveen Chaudhary attending as the Chief Guest.

At the Shaheedi Memorial located at Pong Dam, the Chief Guest Manveen Chaudhary, along with other officers, employees, and union leaders, paid floral tributes to those who sacrificed their lives during the construction of the dam. The speakers highlighted that it was the relentless efforts and dedication of workers and engineers that led to the successful completion of this prestigious national project. The invaluable contribution of workers towards the growth and development of the organization was also remembered on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Superintending Engineer Manveen Chaudhary stated that workers form the backbone of any organization and that development is not possible without their contribution. She emphasized that the achievements of BBMB are largely due to the hard work and commitment of its workers, employees, and entire staff. She further added that the safety, health, and welfare of workers remain the top priority of the organization. She also urged all employees to work collectively and strive towards taking the organization to greater heights.

Among others present on the occasion were Executive Engineer Arvinderpal Singh Ubbi, Executive Engineer Gaurav Lamba, SDO Dharminder Singh, Shubham Singh, Gyanendra, along with union leaders Shiv Kumar and Vijay Kumar, besides a large number of officers and staff.
