Senior BJP leader and former Cabinet Minister Tikshan Sood alleged at a public meeting in Rahimpur Mohalla, Ward No. 29, that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has badly lost its base in Punjab. Addressing hundreds of attendees gathered to expose AAP's tactics, he said law and order has collapsed under the AAP government, with daily murders, robberies, and snatching incidents as stark proof.
Punjab's economy is in shambles, he added, with drugs and illegal mining receiving government patronage, ruining lives. Sensing defeat in the upcoming municipal corporation and council elections, AAP leaders are plotting to seize victory through rigging in ballot papers, ward demarcations, and voter lists using every trick—saam, daam, dand, bhed (persuasion, inducement, punishment, and division). However, BJP's firm stance has forced them to back down.
The mood in Punjab now favours the BJP, with influential people joining daily. On this occasion, social worker Seema Devi from Rahimpur, along with dozens of associates—mostly women—joined the BJP and pledged all-out effort for the party's win in the municipal elections.
BJP leader Meenu Sethi highlighted the Modi government's schemes for women's welfare. Other leaders present included Amarjeet Singh Laddi, Yashpal Sharma, Pandit Onkar Nath, and Kevat Singh Thakur.
