With the start of census 2026-27, the district administration on Thursday called upon the people to become an active part of this crucial public exercise by registering themselves online on portal https://se.census.gov.in till May 14. 

At the very outset of census registration, the MLAs Brahm Shanker Jimpa and Dr Ishank Kumar enrolled themselves on the portal. They pointed out that this is very significant exercise for all of us and none should be deprived from this. They also gave a clarion call to the district residents to register their details online before May 14 themselves after that an enumerator would visit their homes from May 15 onwards. 

Meanwhile, deputy commissioner Aashika Jain while holding a meeting with the census team said that the online process is very simple and easy for the people to upload their credentials as most of the queries are optional. She urged the people to utilise online portal to complete their registration after that they would get a 11-digit unique number, which make the further process more easy as they just give number to the enumerator during the physical verification. 

 She also asserted that the credentials must be thoroughly checked before the final submission as there is no space to make any alteration in the submitted forms. She called upon to extend fulsome support and cooperation to enumerators for making this exercise great success in the district.
