Bhakra Beas Management Board, TalwaraBBMB Organizes Inter-Circle Cricket & Athletics TournamentPSO Team Wins Inter-Circle Cricket Tournament

The Beas Dam administration, under the guidance of Chief Engineer Rakesh Gupta, organized an Inter-Circle Cricket and Athletics Tournament. The event was conducted by the Talwara Unit Sports Committee at the Nursery Ground. Along with cricket, shot put and discus throw competitions were also organised for both men and women. A total of 25 female employees participated in the women’s category events.

During the final cricket match, Deputy Chief Engineer Vimal Kumar Meena graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and honored the winning players with trophies. He stated that such sports events help strengthen team spirit and discipline among BBMB employees. On this occasion, Sports Committee Secretary and Executive Engineer Ravinder Singh welcomed the guests and shared details about the committee’s activities.

Sports Manager Keval Singh informed that five teams participated in the Inter-Circle Cricket Tournament, including Pong Dam Circle, Chief Engineer Office, PSO, Power Wing, and Talwara Circle. In the final match, the PSO team defeated the Pong Dam Circle team by two wickets to clinch the trophy.

In the women’s shot put event, Manisha secured first position while Pramila Bishnoi stood second. In the women’s discus throw, Manisha again claimed first position and Heena secured second place. In the men’s shot put event, Rahul Thapa stood first and Varinder Kumar second. In the men’s discus throw, Sunil Kumar emerged as the winner, while Rahul Thapa secured second position.

Among others present on the occasion were SDO Dheeraj Kumar, Gopal Singh, Dinesh Kumar, Dharminder Singh, Shivam Kumar, Junior Engineer Jatin Sharma, Baljeet Singh, and Raju.
