In a significant step towards grassroots development, six newly constructed streets in Phuglana village were inaugurated by Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar, that have been completed with an approximate cost of ₹15 lakh. The long-awaited project has brought much-needed relief and improved connectivity for the people.
Marking International Women’s Day with a heartfelt gesture, 24 sewing machines and course completion certificates were presented to women who successfully finished their stitching training under the guidance of NGO Carmelite Social Services, run by Father Thomas. The initiative aims to encourage self-reliance and financial independence among local women.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA said, “True development is when every street reflects progress and every household feels empowered. When our mothers and daughters become self-reliant, the entire village and in turn entire state moves forward.” MLA also informed all that 5 lakhs Grant is already issued for renovation of community hall, also grant is issued for repair of 2 more streets of the village. Additionally he announced 2 lakhs grant for Anganwadi Centre’s boundary wall, that will be issued soon.
The villagers warmly expressed their gratitude, sharing that the completion of the streets and the support extended to women have brought both comfort and confidence to the community. Their appreciation and blessings added an emotional touch to the occasion, reinforcing a shared commitment towards continued progress.
