Development works of Chabbewal constituency are on peak - MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar Panchayat and people of Jian reached out to MLA at Chabbewal Office

Residents of Village Jian called on MLA Chabbewal Dr. Ishank Kumar at his office at Chabbewal and discussed with him various ongoing development works and issues of their village. The MLA reviewed the progress and assured full support for the timely completion of all projects.

It was informed that the sewerage project in Jian, with an estimated cost of around ₹40 lakh, is currently in progress. Out of this, ₹24 lakh had already been released earlier, and an additional ₹16 lakh was required to complete the work. The MLA stated that ₹8 lakh has now been released and the remaining amount will be provided soon to ensure the work is completed without delay.

The residents also expressed their gratitude for the installation of an irrigation tubewell in the village at a cost of ₹9 lakh, which is expected to significantly benefit farmers. In addition, approx 27 lakhs of grants have been issued for development works of stadium, dharamshala, pond etc. 

Apart from this, Dr. Ishank Kumar informed that road connectivity of Jian is also being strengthened with a cost of Rs. 2.22 crores. A network of roads around Jian with Approach road of 1.15 km to Mandi Jian, Hoshiarpur Garhshankar road to jian 0.57, Jian to HSP Chandigarh road 0.37 km, 

Jian to Saido Patti 0.60 km and Bhillowal to Jian road of 1.60 km length will greatly enhance connectivity and ease of travel for the residents.

Dr. Ishank Kumar reiterated his commitment towards the overall development of the constituency and said that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure better infrastructure and improved basic amenities for the people.
