Temporary Ban Imposed on Mining Vehicles in Hoshiarpur

Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain has issued special directives restricting the movement of tippers and trucks carrying mining material on the Jaijon to Mahilpur Road and Nangal to Garhshankar Road in Hoshiarpur district. Under these orders, such vehicles will be allowed only between 7 pm and 7 am. Their movement will remain completely banned during other hours until March 20, 2026.The Deputy Commissioner further stated that, in continuation of these measures, special arrangements have been made for the 649th Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj from February 4 to 6, 2026. This includes state-level events at Shri Khuralgarh Sahib (Minar-e-Begumpura) in Tehsil Garhshankar, Charn Choh Ganga, and Gurudwara Sahib. To ensure devotee convenience, smooth traffic flow, and public safety during this period, the movement of mining material tippers and trucks on the Jejon-Mahilpur Road and Nangal-Garhshankar Road will be fully prohibited from February 4 to 6, 2026.
