The NSS Unit, Rayat College of Law, Railmajra organised Project Sakhi 2.0, a sanitary napkin distribution drive, at the slum areas near IIT Road, Ropar, with the objective of promoting menstrual hygiene awareness and community welfare.
During the drive, NSS volunteers actively participated in distributing sanitary napkins and biscuits among women and children from underprivileged sections. Prior to the distribution, Dr. Sohnu, Programme Officer, NSS, guided the students and briefed them about the purpose of the drive, its social relevance, and the systematic way in which the outreach activity should be conducted while interacting respectfully with the beneficiaries.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers, who sensitively engaged with the local community and explained the importance of hygiene, health, and awareness.
Dr. Monika Sharma appreciated the sincere efforts of the NSS Unit and specially lauded Dr. Sohnu for his continuous dedication and consistent contribution towards organising meaningful social welfare activities through NSS. She encouraged the volunteers to continue such initiatives for the betterment of society.
