Prominent industrialist Naveen Aggarwal has expressed strong optimism over the expanding trade partnership between India and the United States, calling it a major opportunity for Indian manufacturers to grow and compete globally.
During a detailed conversation with renowned educationist and social worker Sanjiv Kumar, Aggarwal said the strengthening economic ties between the two nations reflect India’s rising stature in the global economy. He noted that India is increasingly being seen as a reliable trade partner with a strong domestic market, policy stability, and a skilled workforce.
Aggarwal emphasised that improved trade relations with the US could open new doors for Indian industries, particularly in engineering goods, metals, and the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector. According to him, better access to advanced technologies and global markets would not only strengthen India’s industrial base but also generate significant employment opportunities.
Sanjiv Kumar, sharing his perspective during the interaction, said the growing engagement between the two countries demonstrates India’s ability to negotiate from a position of confidence under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that India’s economic reforms and global outreach have enhanced its credibility on the international stage.
Aggarwal, who is also the Managing Director of Jagdambay Furnaces, expressed hope that smoother trade channels and fewer barriers would encourage Indian companies to scale up production and compete more effectively in global markets.
Local industry observers believe that sustained cooperation between India and the United States could significantly enhance export potential and position Indian enterprises more strongly in international supply chains.
