Punjab Scheduled Castes Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi today visited Minar-e-Begumpura and Sri Khuralgarh Sahib with saints and community leaders to review ongoing development works. Speaking on the occasion, he noted that a successful three-day state-level congregation was recently held here to mark the sacred birth anniversary of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj, attended by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, cabinet ministers, MLAs, and a large gathering of devotees who paid obeisance and sought blessings.Garhi stated that his visit was specifically aimed at assessing the ongoing and pending works at the Sri Guru Ravidas Memorial. He assured that incomplete development projects linked to the memorial would be prioritized and completed swiftly through detailed meetings with concerned departments and officials. Necessary proposals will also be submitted to the state government to ensure the proper development of this holy site.He emphasized that Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, the sacred land touched by the feet of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj, remains an unwavering center of faith for devotees from across India and abroad. The commission will make every possible effort to preserve this historic and religious site, enhance its beauty, and expand basic facilities.Those present included Bhai Kewel Singh, head of Tap Sthan Sri Khuralgarh Sahib; Sant Surinder Das, head of Sri Charan Chho Ganga; Gurlal Saila; Chairman Dr. Kulwran Singh; Jeet Singh Bagwai; Karm Chand; Naresh Singh; Charan Bharti; Sukhdev Singh; and other dignitaries.
