Award for Excellence in Social Awareness’ to Ashok Puri the director of the film Gold Medal Da Dahej at the West Bengal International Film Festival

A function was held here today to celebrate the presentation  of  ‘Award for Excellence in Social Awareness’ to Ashok Puri the director of  the film Gold Medal Da Dahej at the West Bengal International Film Festival. Former M.P. Shri Avinash Rai Khanna, President of the Hoshiarpur Beopar Mandal Gopi Chand Kapoor, and representative of Hoshiarpur Sargam Diwan Surinderpal were specially present.
The story of the film Gold Medal Da Dahej has been written by Avinash Rai Khanna and presented by director Ashok Puri under the banner of Shri Gresa Films, initially in Punjabi and later on dubbed into Hindi. The next phase of this film is being prepared in Gujarati and Bengali. On this occasion, Ashok Puri stated, a mark of honour for Hoshiarpur, the next part of this film, honoured with the ‘Award for Excellence in Social Awareness,’ will be produced soon. Following this, Avinash Rai Khanna congratulated the film's director and his team for their efforts put for this film. He also shared that for the purpose of social reform, another short film based on his experiences titled ‘No Challan’ is being produced soon under the direction of Ashok Puri. Beopar Mandal President Gopi Chand Kapoor congratulated Avinash Rai Khanna and Shri Gresa Films for these endeavours. Film artists Pawan Singh, Vicky Walia, Ajay Sehdev, and other intellectuals were present on this occasion.
