Students from the Bachelor in Physical Education and Sports (BPES) first-semester batch at the Physical Education Department of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur, shone brightly at the national-level powerlifting competition under the Gauri Pro League-2026 held recently in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. The trio clinched silver and bronze medals in various weight categories, bringing glory to the institution.The students were honoured today during a special ceremony at the college, led by Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh. Dr. Raj Kumar, Head of the Physical Education Department, highlighted that Ashish secured two silver medals in the sub-junior and junior categories of the 74kg weight class by lifting a total of 252.5kg. Similarly, Harvinder Singh Rana won a bronze medal in the junior category of the 100kg weight class with a total lift of 210kg. Ranjit Singh also participated impressively in the competition.On the occasion, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh, Dr. J.B. Sekhon, and Dr. Jatinder Kumar congratulated the winners and motivated them to work even harder.
