In a bid to support the Punjab government's campaign "Yudh Nashian Ke Virudh" (War Against Drugs) aimed at eradicating narcotics from the state, students, teachers, litterateurs, and artists are making commendable contributions. This collective effort will help the Punjab government create a healthy environment for the state's students and youth.These views were expressed by Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur, Ms. Ashika Jain IAS, during the public dedication of the Punjabi awareness song against drugs, 'Yudh Nashian Ke Virudh Chala...', written and voiced by Lecturer Sukhdev Singh (music and voice) and Varinder Singh Nimana (lyrics and voice).DC Ashika Jain stated that drug addiction severely impacts a person's physical and mental strength, making it essential to constantly raise awareness among students and youth about this pernicious evil. She emphasized the need to guide children through education, sports, and fine arts, teaching them that a sensible person should pursue dreams through hard work and a positive outlook, without ever resorting to drugs.Praising the awareness song 'Yudh Nashian Ke Virudh Chala...', prepared by the Hoshiarpur Education Department in collaboration with the district administration, she said this initiative would prove helpful in ongoing efforts to protect school and college students from narcotics.The event was attended by ADC (Development) Nikas Kumar IAS, ADC (General) Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, Assistant Commissioner Parmpreet Singh, along with several senior officials from the Hoshiarpur administration.
