District Education Officer (Secondary Education) Mrs. Lalita Arora demonstrated her sensitivity and dedication by visiting the relief camps set up in flood-affected areas. On this occasion, she was accompanied by Deputy District Education Officer (Elementary Education) Amandeep Sharma and District Coordinator Textbooks Rajneesh Kumar Guliani.
She reached the relief camp set up at Government High School, Miani, Tanda constituency, where many families have taken shelter. She met the people present there, listened to their problems, and gathered information about the efforts being made by the administration.
Among the families staying in the camp, she especially encouraged the students of Government Middle School, Abdulllapur. While conveying the message of keeping the flame of education alive even in adverse circumstances, Mrs. Arora distributed books, notebooks, pens, and other educational materials to the children.
She explained to the students that difficult times never last forever; rather, they are a test of human courage and inner strength. She said, “Even in the darkness of crisis, the light of education shows the way.”
While motivating the children, she further added that education is the only tool that gives the power to overcome every challenge. She urged the students not to consider these adverse circumstances as weakness, but to learn from them and work even harder. She said, “No matter how many challenges life throws at you, if you have the spirit of learning and progress in your heart, no obstacle can block your path.”
Deputy District Education Officer (Elementary Education) Amandeep Sharma assured that the Education Department will not allow children’s studies to be disrupted in any way and will provide every possible assistance whenever needed. This initiative of the department brought smiles back to the children’s faces and also rekindled new hope in the hearts of their parents.
The people present at the relief camp also appreciated Mrs. Arora’s gesture. They said that the Education Officer personally coming to the camp and boosting the morale of the children is a positive and inspiring step. This proves that the administration is not only distributing relief materials, but also extending moral and psychological support.
This visit sent out the message that if we uplift each other’s morale, even the toughest of situations can become easier. The initiative of Mrs. Lalita Arora is undoubtedly one that will inspire society.
