Hoshiarpur Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain flagged off relief material for the flood-affected areas. On this occasion, she expressed heartfelt gratitude to Advocate Preetpal Singh Bassi and his entire team, appreciating their dedicated efforts during this natural calamity.
The relief material was dispatched to village Miyani in Tanda, where flood-affected people have been accommodated by the administration in a government school. The supplies included essential items such as ration, tarpaulins, raincoats, bathing and washing soaps, detergent, mosquito repellents, juices, biscuits, and other food items. Additionally, Cerelac was provided for small children.
Later, the entire team carried relief material to the refugee camp at the temple in village Chakda Maa in Dasuya, Mukerian, and Talwara, where several families sheltered by the administration were provided with all necessary items.
On this occasion, Advocate Preetpal Singh Bassi said that in such times of natural disaster, people from across Punjab should come forward to extend support in the flood-affected areas so that families displaced from their homes can get some relief.
