Rayat Bahra Professional University organized an awareness seminar on HPV - Dr Sukhmeet said vaccine is an effective measure in prevention of cervical cancer

An awareness seminar was organized in the Department of Allied and Health Care Sciences of Rayat Bahra Professional University. On this occasion, Dr. Neetu Sareen gave detailed information to the students about Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and its related health problems. The seminar was held under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Harinder Gill and Department Head Dr. Sukhmeet Bedi.
In her address, Dr. Neetu Sareen said that HPV is a common sexually transmitted infection, some types of which can cause serious diseases including cervical cancer. She made the students aware of the importance of HPV vaccine and said that it is very effective in preventing cancer.
During the seminar, the students were specially made aware of the need for timely screening and vaccination for cervical cancer. Dr. Neetu said that prevention of this disease is possible by adopting timely information and preventive measures.
In the end, the head of the department Dr. Sukhmeet Bedi thanked Dr. Neetu Sarin and said that such programs enrich the knowledge of the students and play an important role in increasing health awareness in the society.
On this occasion, along with the students, Assistant Prof. Pooja Samayal, Assistant Prof. Aditi and Navneet were also present.
