Vastu is a science gifted to us by nature in the form of five elements. Wherever a house is built according to the principles of Vastu, the word “impossible” is never spoken. This was stated by internationally renowned Vastu expert and author Dr. Bhupendra Vastu Shastri. According to him, Vastu is a priceless gift of nature to mankind. Whoever has wholeheartedly accepted this gift and applied it in their residence, sorrow, misfortune, poverty, negativity, and illness find no place there. Instead, such a dwelling attracts positive energy, self-confidence, position, prestige, respect, fame, and the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi.
Dr. Bhupendra further explained the basic principles of Vastu. The shape of the land should be square, rectangular, or angular, and if the northeast corner is extended, it adds to the prosperity. The slope of the land should be towards the northeast, east, or north direction. The main entrance of the house should not be in any corner but placed in the middle part of the front, either on the right or the left side. The inner layout of the house should be constructed properly, keeping the five elements in their appropriate positions. The selection of colors should also be based on these five elements. If external Vastu principles are also adopted, life itself echoes the message that “impossible” turns into “I am possible.”
