Hoshiarpur Mayor Initiates Tube Well Project in Ward No. 19, Purhiran


Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha /August 12- In a significant step towards improving the water supply infrastructure in the city, Mayor Surinder Kumar today inaugurated the construction of a new tube well in Ward No. 19, Mohalla Purhiran. The project, estimated to cost Rs 31.72 lakh, aims to provide clean drinking water to the residents of Ward No. 19, as well as neighboring wards 18 and 20.
The Mayor emphasized that the Municipal Corporation is committed to providing basic amenities such as drinking water, roads, streetlights, and sewage facilities to the citizens. He highlighted that the new tube well will not only alleviate water scarcity issues in the area but also ensure a steady supply of clean drinking water to households, particularly those located at higher elevations.
Mayor Kumar appealed to the residents to use water judiciously, stressing that drinking water is a precious resource. He urged citizens to refrain from using this water for cleaning purposes, such as washing courtyards, vehicles, or floors, to ensure that everyone has access to sufficient clean water Mayor also informed that the Municipal Corporation is working tirelessly to ensure 100% sewage and drinking water facilities in the city. Necessary budget allocations are being approved for laying new water pipelines and installing tube wells, with the goal of providing clean water and better facilities to every household.
The ceremony was attended by prominent citizens, including Jagtar Singh Shah, Raghuveer Bawa, Harpal Singh Pala, R.K. Kohli, Gurmel Singh Geli, Jagtar Singh Baba, Harjeet Singh, Kulwinder Singh Saini, Ranjeet Kumar Kohli, Lambir Singh Koot, and Santosh Kumar Kohli, along with officials from the Municipal Corporation.
This initiative is expected to significantly improve the water supply situation in the area and enhance the overall quality of life for the residents.
