Dr. Parvinder Singh, Principal of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur, along with college staff members, participated in a special event organized by the village panchayat in Sona village. During the event, he interacted with local villagers and students, sharing valuable information on career guidance and educational opportunities available to the youth of the region.
The villagers, led by Sarpanch Nirmal Kaur, Jasvir Singh Fauji, and social worker Jasvir Singh Sheera, warmly welcomed Dr. Parvinder Singh and his team. In his address, Dr. Singh spoke about the rich history of Khalsa College Mahilpur and provided detailed information about various courses offered, scholarship schemes, and other facilities available at the college.
Dr. J.B. Sekhon, Head of the Punjabi Department, highlighted that the college, established with a missionary vision, has played a significant role in shaping the future of thousands of students. He further informed that admission centers have been set up in villages like Jandoli, Bham, Garhshankar, Padarana, and Balachaur to facilitate students, and these centers have received an enthusiastic response.
Social workers Jasvir Singh Sheera and Jasvir Singh Fauji expressed their gratitude to the college administration for opening an admission center in Jandoli and assured full support to the institution from the local community.
During the event, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh and the college staff were honored by the villagers. The college also felicitated meritorious students and notable personalities of the village for their achievements.
