As per the directions of My Bharat Hoshiarpur, to emphasize the importance of trees as part of the "Ek Rukh Maa De Naam" (One Tree in Mother's Name) program, Sat Sri Akal Doaba , today organized a poster-making competition at Mary Gold Public School. In which Prof. Ajit Singh Jabbal , Retired HOD, Government College Hoshiarpur, Principal Rupinder Kaur, and theatre artist Ashok Puri were especially present. The program was organized under the supervision of Retired Inspector Ramesh Kumar Ji, President Sat Sri Akal Doaba.
In this "Ek Rukh Maa De Naam" painting competition, 48 students from classes 8th, 9th, and 10th participated. The paintings made in this two hours painting competition were judged by Prof. Ajit Singh Jabbal Ji . Chahat of Class 10th secured the first position, Nandini the second, and Prerna of Class 9th the third position.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Ajit Singh Jabbal praised all the paintings and honoured Rohini Singh (Class 10th), and Amrit Raju, Bharti Singh, Jasmine, Puneet Kaur, Sanjana Sabharwal (Class 9th), and Sukhmani (Class 8th) with Certificates of Appreciation. He also commended Miss Meena, the school's art teacher, for her excellent preparation. The felicitation ceremony was presided over by Prof. Ajit Jabbal Ji along with Principal Rupinder Kaur, Director Ashok Puri, Musician Vivek Sahni, Art Teacher Miss Meena, and Ramesh Kumar, President Sat Sri Akal Doaba. After honouring the winning students of the Painting Competition , the Chief Guest Prof. Ajit Singh Jabbal, Ashok Puri, and Principal Rupinder Kaur were also felicitated.
At the end of the program, Principal Rupinder Kaur extended her gratitude to Sat Sri Akal Doaba and My Bharat Hoshiarpur for organizing the event and expressed hope that similar programs will continue to be organised in the future also.
