MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal Visits Bassi Gulam Hussain, Reviews Situation After Flood Damage – Instructs Officials to Restore Connectivity Between Village and City Without Delay

Following heavy rainfall on Sunday morning, the main road connecting village Bassi Gulam Hussain to Hoshiarpur city was washed away by floodwaters. Upon receiving the information, Member of Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal promptly visited the site to assess the situation and assured the villagers that they would not be left to face any difficulties alone.
During his visit, Dr. Chabbewal directed district administration officials to provide immediate assistance to the affected residents. He also gathered details about the damage caused to crops and livestock and assured the villagers that he would present their concerns to the Punjab Government to ensure necessary support and relief is extended.
Dr. Chabbewal stated that while natural disasters cannot be prevented, human efforts can certainly help overcome such challenges. He directed the administration to release funds from the disaster relief fund to address the current crisis and re-establish connectivity between the village and the city as a priority.
He also announced that to prevent such issues in the future, a permanent bridge would be constructed to ensure uninterrupted connectivity between Bassi Gulam Hussain and Hoshiarpur.
Dr. Chabbewal reaffirmed his commitment to the people, assuring them that he stands with them in this difficult time and will personally monitor the progress until the situation is fully resolved.
