Under the guidelines of Punjab State Legal Services Authority and under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Dilbag Singh Johal, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign was organized.
Giving information, CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rawl said that under this campaign, with the aim of keeping the environment clean and green, trees and plants like mango, jamun, bahera, toor were distributed to all the court staff in the new district court complex of Hoshiarpur.
Secretary District Legal Services Authority said that trees are a precious gift of nature and they are a major source of life. Various types of medicines, wooden houses and furniture etc. are made from them and they also help in protection from flood water. Therefore, every person should plant trees in their homes as well. On this occasion, while distributing saplings, he also motivated the entire staff to celebrate a pollution-free Deepawali (Green Diwali). On this occasion, members of Permanent Lok Adalat, L.A.D.C. Council and all court staff were also present.
