Punjab Government’s Rangla Punjab Initiative Giving New Boost to Tourism Sector: Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari

 Under the visionary leadership of the Punjab Government, the “Rangla Punjab” initiative is emerging as a major step towards reviving and promoting the rich cultural, historical, and tourism heritage of the state. Punjab Tourism Department is actively working to showcase the vibrant traditions, heritage sites, spiritual destinations, eco-tourism, and rural beauty of Punjab on the national and international tourism map.
According to Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari, Director Tourism Punjab, the government’s Rangla Punjab initiative is not only preserving the glorious heritage of Punjab but is also creating new opportunities for tourism-based employment, cultural promotion, and economic growth across the state.
Dr. Tiwari stated that the Punjab Government is committed to developing world-class tourism infrastructure, beautifying heritage destinations, promoting digital tourism engagement, and strengthening community participation in tourism activities. He added that Punjab is blessed with rich history, spiritual heritage, folk culture, traditional cuisine, and warm hospitality, which can attract tourists from across India and abroad. 
He further said that special emphasis is being laid on promoting heritage tourism, religious tourism, eco-tourism, and rural tourism under the Rangla Punjab campaign. Several initiatives are being undertaken to enhance visitor experiences at important destinations including heritage sites, museums, and cultural centers across Punjab.
Dr. Tiwari also highlighted that the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department is working in coordination with various stakeholders to organize cultural festivals, heritage events, and tourism campaigns that reflect the true spirit of “Rangla Punjab.” 
The Punjab Government believes that tourism can become a strong pillar for the state’s economy while also promoting Punjab’s identity, traditions, and cultural pride globally.
