— In the final of the Diamond Jubilee Football Tournament organized by the BSF at Kharkan, Miri Piri Football Academy Paddi Sura Singh’s Under-17 side defeated Football Academy Paldi on penalties to lift the title. Both teams produced a fine display but remained goalless in regulation time, taking the match to a penalty shootout that extended to the 12th kick before a winner emerged.
On the occasion, Principal Harbilas Banga, Jathedar Iqbal Singh Kherra, Nirmal Singh Bhillowal, coach Jaipal Dansiwal, Narinder Singh Sahota, Sarpanch Jarnail Singh, Gur kirpal Singh Khatkar, Baba Harjinder Singh Pradhan (Gurdwara Araam sar Sahib), Sarabjit Singh Sahota, Sukhwinder Singh Gill, Jathedar Lakhvir Singh Dansiwal, Rajvinder Singh Panch, Major Singh Sahota, Amrik Singh Panch, Kewal Singh Khalsa and Harvinder Singh Poonia congratulated the players, coaches and club members.
