BSP Scores Major Blow to AAP, Congress in Chabbewal Segment; Hundreds of Youth Join Party

— The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) delivered a significant setback to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress in the Chabbewal constituency as large numbers of youth switched allegiance to the BSP, party leaders claimed.
A special organisational meeting of the BSP’s Chabbewal unit, led by Rajesh Bhunno and Chandan Singh, was held at Handowal on Saturday. Advocate Palwinder Mana, in-charge of BSP’s Chabbewal segment, attended as the chief guest. Rakesh Kitty, district secretary, was also present.
At the meeting, leaders and cadre discussed ways to strengthen the party by establishing contacts with every village in the constituency and holding village‑level meetings to take the BSP’s “Punjab Sambhalo” campaign to every household. They said the organisation would be consolidated through regular meetings across the segment.
A large number of young people expressed their satisfaction with the policies of the BSP’s “Punjab Sambhalo” campaign and indicated their desire to join the party. Advocate Palwinder Mana ceremonially welcomed the new members by presenting them with the traditional siropa. He said that hundreds of youth in the Chabbewal area had left the AAP, Congress and other parties to join the BSP.
Those present at the event included Vicky Banga (BVF), Balwant Sehgal, Rajesh Bhunno, Charanjit Bahowal, Rupa Banga (BSP leader), Chandan Singh, S. Makhan Singh Khalsa, Parveen Kumar, Jatinder Singh Raju, Kundan Sarangwal, Rajan, Sameer Mana, Aniket, Saurav Heer, Surkhab Singh, Sagar and many other young associates.
