Chabbewal Vidhan Sabah Bypoll All set for voting, Deputy Commissioner reviews arrangments Adequate security arrangements put in place: SSP

The counting of votes for Chabbewal Vidhan Sabha will be held on Saturday for which the requisite arrangements have been done by the District Election Office.
    The counting centre has been setup at local Rayat Bahra Group of Institute where the counting of votes would start at 8 am on Saturday. Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Komal Mittal accompanied by the SSP Surendra Lamba visited the counting centre to take stock of arrangements. She said that the EVMs had been placed in strong room under CCTV surveillance as well as foolproof security arrangements. She also took round of counting centre and media centre.
    SSP Surendra Lamba pointed out that the adequate security arrangements had been ensured for smooth conduct of counting process. He said three tier security arrangements were put in place including Punjab Police and para military forces personnel.
    Pertinently, six candidates are in fray for Chabbewal bypoll for which the voting held on November 20. As many as total 53.43 voting percentage was recorded. The counting will be carried out in 15 rounds. Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Returning Officer Rahul Chaba apprised the Deputy Commissioner about all arrangements for voting.z
